Devlog #1 – The Pixel Kit Is Live!

Hey everyone! I’m excited to officially launch The Pixel Kit. A free, ever-expanding library of clean, retro-style pixel art made for game devs, hobbyists, and anyone who wants to drop quality visuals into their projects fast.
This is more than just a one-and-done asset pack, it’s a living collection that I’ll be growing and refining week by week. Right now, you’ll find over 100 standalone assets, from tiles and UI elements to basic icons and decorative bits, with many more to come.
🧠 Why I Made This
I wanted to give back to the dev community that’s taught me so much, while also sharpening my own skills along the way. These aren’t AAA-perfect assets (yet), but each one is built with care, consistency, and the goal of being genuinely useful.
🧰 What's Inside (So Far)
-
✅ 113 standalone assets
-
✅ Full tilesheet included
-
✅ Mostly 32×32 (UI is 32×64)
-
✅ Clean folder structure for easy drop-in use
The assets are great for prototypes, game jams, or even full indie releases if they suit your style.
📅 What’s Next
This pack is just getting started. In future updates, you can expect:
-
⚔️ Item icons
-
🌳 Environment pieces
-
🧍 Characters & NPCs
-
🏠 Building exteriors
-
🧩 More UI themes
I plan to drop at least one update per week, so make sure to follow the page to stay in the loop.
💬 Got Feedback?
If you use the kit or have requests, let me know in the comments or leave a review. It helps me shape the future of the pack, and keep improving with every update.
Thanks for checking it out. I hope The Pixel Kit becomes a useful piece of your creative toolkit
